Community Health Network Marks Milestone of New Westfield Hospital with Topping Out Ceremony Celebrating Commitment to Expanding Access to Care

For release on January 08, 2026

WESTFIELD (January 8, 2026) — Community Health Network today marked a major milestone in the construction of the Community Hospital Westfield with a topping out ceremony, celebrating the placement of the final steel beam on the structural frame of the six-story patient tower. This event signifies progress toward opening a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet the healthcare needs of one of Indiana’s fastest-growing communities.

Community Health Network’s new President and CEO, Dr. Patrick McGill, emphasized the organization’s commitment to improving access to high-quality care close to home.

“Westfield and surrounding areas are experiencing tremendous growth, and with that comes an increased need for accessible, comprehensive healthcare,” said Dr. McGill. “Community Hospital Westfield will ensure families and businesses in this region have the care they need without having to travel far.”

The Community Hospital Westfield campus will offer emergency services, advanced critical care for adults and newborns to integrative outpatient services focused on wellness and prevention. The hospital is designed to provide convenient, patient-centered care and strengthen Community Health Network’s presence in Hamilton County.

Community opened a Medical Office Building in Westfield in April 2025 that includes integrative medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, orthopedics, heart and vascular, and more, providing specialty care close to home for residents.

Westfield’s population has surged in recent years, creating demand for local healthcare resources. This investment reflects Community Health Network’s mission to enhance health and well-being across central Indiana.

The hospital and ambulatory surgery center remain on schedule to open in the spring of 2027.
