INDIANAPOLIS (January 2, 2026)—Community Health Network is starting the new year with a favorite tradition, celebrating our New Year’s babies.
The first 2026 New Year’s baby for Community was born at 3:33am at Community Hospital South. Charles Washington Murray IV weighed 6 pounds, 4.2 ounces and is 20 inches long. He is the son of Victoria Faubion and Charles Washington Murray III of Beech Grove. Baby boy, Charles, will soon be heading home to join his brother who just celebrated his fourth birthday yesterday on New Year’s Eve.

Our second New Year’s baby was born four hours later at 7:35am at Community Hospital North. Baby boy, Lucas, weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and is 20 inches long. He is the firstborn for Mason and Ashley Godby. Lucas’ dad is a security officer at Community Hospital North. The family lives in Orestes, Indiana.

Our third New Year’s baby arrived at Community Hospital East at 8:02am. R’ielle Faith Smith is the daughter of Barret Keys and Rico Smith of Indianapolis. The baby girl weighed 6 pounds, 11.7 ounces and is 19.5 inches long. R’ielle will soon be joining her two sisters, ages 5 and 4, at their home on the east side.

Our fourth New Year’s baby came in the afternoon at 1:08pm at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. Baby girl, Riley Couch, weighed 8 pounds and 10 ounces, and is 19.5 inches long. She is the daughter of Jesse and Erika Couch.

Community Hospital Anderson also welcomed the birth of their New Year’s baby with a special gift basket provided by the hospital. The family chose to celebrate their new arrival privately.
