Moms and babies who are currently breastfeeding are welcome at our FREE support groups. During support group, moms are encouraged to feed their babies and talk with other mothers. A lactation consultant will be available to talk about basic concerns and answer questions about breastfeeding. You may also weigh your baby before and after feedings while at group. Pre-registration is required to attend group at Community Hospital North and Community Hospital South.

This one-session virtual class discusses how to prepare your body for labor, comfort measures, birth hormones, and tips for how to have a non-medicated birth. For first time parents, it is preferred, but not required, to complete the Birth and Baby series first. Dads and partners are encouraged to attend and do not need to register for the class. This two-day course is designed to provide nurses with the tools, confidence and knowledge to succesfully complete the Medical-Surgical Nursing Exam. The exam content outlines and blueprints from the ANCC and MSNCB were used to develop this program.

Free one evening class for Expectant Dads. This class is taught by a pediatrician and will be held in person. Topics include care and development from newborn to age 4 months. In addition to general topics, there is a question-and-answer time with a new dad to share his experiences. Resources will be sent via email.
