Ellie
Nurse Practitioner | APP Lead for CHOICE
Ellie is a nurse practitioner with the CHOICE program and has been with Community Health Network since 2016. She received her BSN (2015) and MSN (2020) from the Indiana University School of Nursing. Nursing is a second career for Ellie as she graduated from college in 2005 with a BA in journalism and art. Ellie worked in the emergency room for Community Health Network as a nurse. After graduating with her master's degree, Ellie joined Community Physician Network as a provider at MedCheck where she still works PRN.
Ellie is married to her husband, Morgan, and they have two wonderful children who love sports and dance. Outside of work, Ellie enjoys spending time with family, hiking, biking and running. Ellie's top bucket list item is visiting all of the National Parks and most recently checked off Yellowstone, Grand Teton, the Badlands, Mount Rushmore and Acadia.
Dana
Peer Recovery Specialist
Dana grew up on the southwest side of Indianapolis. She is the youngest of three girls and the mother of three boys. She spent thirteen years as a union laborer working out of Local 120, spending the majority of it based out of Eli Lilly. She suffers from substance use disorder and is in long-term recovery. She is a former CHOICE patient who has been blessed with the opportunity to come work as a Peer Recovery Specialist for the CHOICE team. Dana hopes to help guide and mentor others to succeed in their recovery.
Dana loves spending her free time with her children and family, and catching up on her favorite shows.
Kathy
Clinic Supervisor
Kathy was born and raised on the east side of Indianapolis. Kathy started her career as a LPN many years ago at Community Hospital East. She worked at a head and neck surgeon office for 20 years, and for 15 years in an OB/GYN office. Kathy has been a proud member of the CHOICE team since 2017 and is now the clinic supervisor for the CHOICE team. Kathy’s passion is taking care of people and helping them overcome life's obstacles.
Kathy loves spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. Kathy’s long-term goal is to complete her career with the CHOICE team.
Casey
Behavioral Health Therapist
Casey, LMHC, NCC is a licensed mental health counselor and has worked for Community Health Network for six years. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Florida Atlantic University and her master's degree in professional counseling from Liberty University. She completed her practicum and internship at Community Fairbanks Recovery Center while working for Community Behavioral Health. Casey has always had a passion for working with women and has found a dedicated focus in assisting mother's with navigating the joys and challenges of motherhood and sobriety. She enjoys spending time with her 2 Dobermans and trying to keep up with her daughter.
Heather Benson, MD, PhD
OB/GYN Care | Community Hospital East
Heather Benson, MD, PhD, completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Indiana University School of Medicine, with a focus on gynecology subspecialties and complex gynecologic surgery. She has studied under the instruction of certified master surgeons with expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She has a special interest in advanced complex robotic surgery, treatment of uterine fibroids and helping African-American women improve their health.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing and listening to music, fitness, medical equipment design, and vacationing in Kawaii and Maryland.
Anthony Sanders, MD
OB/GYN Care | Community Hospital East
Dr. Anthony Sanders graduated from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee in 2005. He completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. His wife, Alicia, is also a physician in emergency medicine. They have one daughter, Sydney.
