Community Health Network Named 2026 Wellbeing First Champion for Physician Mental Health and Credentialing Reform

For release on May 28, 2026

INDIANAPOLIS (May 28, 2026) — Community Health Network has been named a 2026 Wellbeing First Champion by ALL IN: Wellbeing First for Healthcare, a national coalition led by the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation that promotes healthcare worker well-being and the removal of stigmatizing mental health questions from licensure and credentialing applications.

The recognition honors Community’s decision to remove intrusive mental health questions from credentialing applications, helping physicians and other credentialed health workers seek confidential mental health care without fear it could affect their professional standing. The designation also reflects Community’s broader investment in physician well-being, APP well-being, burnout prevention, leadership development and professional fulfillment through its Center for Physician Well-Being and Professional Development.

“Health workers should be able to seek mental healthcare confidentially,” said Dr. Noah Kersey, chief wellness officer at Community. “Removing invasive questions from credentialing applications helps reduce stigma and supports the people who care for our patients every day. Our Center for Physician Well-Being and Professional Development builds on that work by offering physicians and advanced practice providers well-being support, peer connection, career coaching and leadership development.”

Established in 2017, Community’s Center for Physician Well-Being and Professional Development supports physicians and advanced practice providers at every career stage. The center’s goals are to strengthen workplace culture, improve work-life integration, develop inclusive and effective clinical leaders, prevent burnout and restore the joy of practice. Programs and resources include well-being coaching and counseling resources, small-group peer connection, career coaching, mentoring, physician leadership development, APP professional development and the CPN Leadership Academy.

“Every health worker is a human being who carries the immense weight of caring for others. For too long, our caregivers have suffered in silence, fearing that seeking the confidential mental health care they need would cost them the career they love,” said Corey Feist, CEO and Co-Founder of the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation, which leads the ALL IN: Wellbeing First for Healthcare coalition. “Community is breaking that silence—sending a powerful, compassionate message to their workforce that your life matters as much as your livelihood, and you never have to choose between the two.”
