Community Rehabilitation Hospital South earns first CARF Accreditation

Greenwood, IN—For the first time, Community Rehabilitation Hospital South has earned a Three-Year Accreditation from Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International. That’s the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization by the international accrediting body.

CARF International recognized Community Rehabilitation Hospital South for the quality care provided to patients through its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program. According to CARF, an organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has also demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are accountable, and of the highest quality.

Community Rehabilitation Hospital South is a state-of-the-art, 44-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness.

Rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. This includes customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Community Rehabilitation Hospital South strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life for patients through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.

The hospital is managed in partnership with Kindred Rehabilitation Services, a business unit of Lifepoint Health and a national leader in the development and operation of rehabilitation hospitals.
