INDIANAPOLIS — Community Health Network has appointed Dave Hyatt as regional president of the South Region, which includes Community Hospital South, and Dan Parod as regional president of the Northeast Region, which includes Community Hospital Anderson, as part of the organization’s regional operating model.
Hyatt and Parod join Jen Hindman, president of the Central Region, which includes Community Hospital North, and Derek McMichael, president of the Northwest Region, which includes Community Howard Regional Health and the new Westfield campus. “The regional model allows us to maintain strong hospital‑level leadership while adding greater focus on regional strategy, physician partnerships and community engagement,” said Jason Fahrlander, chief operating officer for Community Health Network. “Together, our regional presidents bring deep operational experience and a collaborative leadership approach that supports alignment across hospitals, service lines and system priorities.”
In their roles, regional presidents work closely with hospital leadership teams, network leaders and product line leadership to support quality outcomes, access to care, operational consistency and long‑term growth.
Hyatt brings nearly 20 years of healthcare leadership experience to Community Health Network. Most recently, he served as president and chief executive officer of Riverview Health in Noblesville, Indiana. Prior to that, he held multiple executive leadership roles with Indiana University Health. He holds a master’s degree in health administration from Indiana University and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Parod joins Community Health Network with extensive experience leading complex, multi‑hospital regions. He most recently served as president of the Central Region for Ascension St. Vincent in Indiana. He holds a master’s degree in labor and industrial relations from the University of Illinois Urbana‑Champaign and a bachelor’s degree in business communication from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Hyatt and Parod are expected to start their new roles in May.
