Join Community

Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, “community” is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered — and we couldn’t do it without you.

Make a Difference

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for demonstrating performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, performance, the Nurse Practice Act, and the mission and goals of the Community Health Network. The RN manages patient care in the healthcare continuum to achieve optimum outcomes in a safe and cost-effective manner and demonstrates skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation, and management of resources.

The Med/Surg/Oncology Unit at Community East Hospital cares for a variety of patients including medical and surgical care for a variety of cancers and hematology diagnoses. Nurses in this area will gain a wide range of skills, including ONC certification within one year.

The Med/Surg/Oncology unit is a highly supportive environment. New nurse hires will collaborate with a unit-based educator to develop an onboarding and orientation plan which is customized to their learning needs. We want all our caregivers to feel supported as they grow in their nursing career. With a nursing leader that is approachable and enjoys coaching new hires, you will have ample opportunity to develop your skills. If you are a life-long learner, you will thrive in the oncology setting!
