Make a Difference

Assists with maintaining adequate supplies of pharmaceuticals and supplies for utilization by the pharmacy department. Responsible for managing inventory control of pharmaceuticals and related invoice documentation. This role specifically supports the VFC initiative.

 

Your Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

· VFC and Procurement Duties: Audits VFC administration questions and edits as needed based on VFC qualifying criteria. Reports total number of patients receiving vaccination and number who qualified for VFC replacement doses. Records revenue and cost savings associated with VFC program. Analyzes VFC inventory owed and received to ensure correct decrement. Monitors temp track reporting and send documents to VFC. Assist with other procurement related invoicing and payments, as needed, related to non-VFC medications.

· Uses inventory control strategies to maintain optimal levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies.

· Produces essential reports related to the use of pharmaceuticals.

· Maintains processes to ensure accurate cost and pricing information in databases.

· Assists with drug shortage management.

· Participates in evaluation of quality service, development, and implementation of improvement.

· Maintains contemporary professional knowledge base.

· Individuals may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.

· High school diploma or GED equivalent is required (Required)

· 0 years Previous pharmaceutical or related healthcare experience education preferred (Required)

· Required Certifications/Licensures: (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) National Certification or National Healthcare Association (NHA)
