Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)

The skills learned through the NHA CBCS certification are essential to hospitals, physician offices, surgery centers, nursing homes, dental offices, home healthcare agencies, mental health facilities, and even insurance companies and consulting firms.

14-week course – 3 hrs/night, 1 night/week for a total of 42 class hours; allow approximately 4 hours/week outside class for homework.
Course includes revenue cycle/regulatory concepts:
- Regulatory compliance
- Billing, claim forms
- Account receivable (A/R) concepts, collection strategies, problem solving
- CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS Level II coding concepts
- Healthcare payers – federal, state, commercial and more
Course fee: $2,900 ($100 nonrefundable deposit due with registration submission will apply to total course fees)
