Tina Brown, licensed massage therapist, received her therapeutic massage certificate from IUPUI. She also has an associate degree in office management from Ivy Tech; a bachelor of general studies in arts and humanities with minors in dance, creative writing, website design, and database management from IUPUI; and a master of arts in journalism with a specialization in media management and analytics from Ball State University.

Tina is currently pursuing her PhD in health and rehabilitation sciences at Indiana University, with a focus on massage therapy research. Her research interests include massage therapy and provider communications, massage for post-surgical care, massage therapist burnout, and massage for pain management.

Tina has been a massage therapist for more than two decades in a variety of healthcare industries. In 2020, she helped launch the Therapeutic Massage program at the Ivy Tech Lawrence campus, where she created and managed the student massage therapist clinical lab and was the program instructor.

She specializes in various massage techniques such as deep tissue, Swedish, prenatal, lymphatic, hot stone and sports massage.

In her spare time, Tina plays a beautiful, pink bass guitar in two cover bands – a Latin band and an eclectic 60s to current music band. When she’s not playing, she enjoys supporting her husband Todd’s cover bands and listening to him play keys. When they’re not working or performing, Tina and her husband enjoy quiet nights on their back patio or binge watching their favorite shows with their Yorkshire terrier, Friskers.
