Breast Surgery: First Visit

During your first visit at a Community Breast Care Center, you will meet with a breast surgeon or an advanced practice provider. The medical provider will complete a thorough physical exam as well as review your personal medical history, family history, and past diagnostic imaging to determine next steps.

Our schedulers are trained to assist you. They will coordinate all aspects of your care, including your diagnostic testing and follow-up appointments. Diagnostic test/procedures are provided in close proximity to our breast care departments.

The first appointment usually takes about thirty minutes. If you have a known diagnosis of breast cancer (confirmed biopsy results) before your first appointment, the appointment may take up to one hour.

Please bring the following items to your first appointment:

  1. Current insurance card
  2. Photo identification
  3. Medication list
  4. Other pertinent documents (e.g., medical power of attorney)

Questions? Please call 877-655-9599 or your provider's office prior to the visit so that we may help ensure your visit is a great experience.
