Enrollment and Getting Started

How do I enroll?
You can enroll by submitting an online interest form or calling our team at 317-621-5160 to request enrollment. We’ll follow up to confirm eligibility, answer questions and explain how to schedule upon arrival of your newborn.

If your child is already here, just call us to schedule!

Can this membership be purchased as a gift?
Yes. Memberships may be purchased for a loved one. Our team will coordinate enrollment details with the parent/guardian to make sure we have the information and consents we need.

Visits and What to Expect

When is the first newborn visit?
We typically aim to see newborns within 48–72 hours after hospital discharge (depending on your baby’s needs and your family’s schedule).

What happens at the first in-home visit?
Your pediatrician will do a full newborn check, including weight and a head-to-toe exam. We’ll review pregnancy/birth history and hospital discharge information, check feeding and diaper output, and discuss common newborn topics like jaundice, sleep and safety.

How do I prepare for an in-home visit?
Please choose a well-lit area for the exam, such as a flat surface that fits your baby and have any hospital discharge paperwork available if you have it. We also recommend writing down your questions so we can address them during the visit. We ask that you have any pets secured and any firearms or weapons locked and secured.

Sick Care and Urgent Concerns

How fast can we get help when we’re worried?
It can be scary when your child is sick, especially during nights, weekends and holidays. At your first visit, you will learn how to access your newborn concierge team when you need answers quickly, even after hours. For urgent concerns, the newborn concierge team can connect you with a pediatrician 24/7. If your child needs in-person evaluation, you’ll be guided on the safest next step (such as an office visit, urgent care or emergency department).

What should I do if my baby might need emergency care?
If you are worried your baby needs urgent medical attention, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department right away.

What symptoms are especially urgent in a newborn?
Call 911 or seek emergency care for signs such as fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher, trouble breathing, blue/gray color, extreme sleepiness or difficulty waking, not feeding, fewer wet diapers, repeated vomiting, or rapidly worsening jaundice.

Vaccines and Routine Preventive Care

Are vaccines included in my membership?
Vaccines are included during your active membership period. Your pediatrician will review which vaccines your child needs at each visit. If your membership ends and your child still needs vaccines, those will be billed separately at a standard office visit rate.

What vaccine schedule do you follow?
We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommended vaccine schedule, which meets daycare and school requirements in Indiana. This schedule is carefully designed to keep children protected at the right times in their development.

What if I have questions about vaccines or prefer a different vaccine schedule?
We understand families may have questions about vaccines. Your pediatrician can review benefits and risks and discuss options. If you choose an alternate schedule, your pediatrician will provide recommendations and help plan the safest way to keep your child up to date. Keep in mind that spreading vaccines out may result in more visits and possibly more individual shots. We’ll walk through everything with you so you can make an informed decision.

Feeding and Lactation Support

Is lactation support available?
Yes. The newborn concierge team can provide lactation support or help set up a referral to a lactation consultant.

Billing and Insurance

Do you take insurance?
Our services are cash-based and not eligible to be billed to insurance. Families who are enrolled in our program may still bring their child to our pediatric office during office hours, and that visit would be billed to insurance as usual.

Do I still need insurance?
Yes. Your membership is not a replacement for insurance. We recommend maintaining insurance coverage for hospital stays, emergency visits, imaging, medications, in-office sick visits and labs.

How much does the membership cost?
The program includes a one-time child registration fee of $125. The monthly membership fee is $200/month for the first child and $150/month for each additional child under age two in the same family. Monthly or annual payment options are available.

Home Visit Safety and Privacy

Do you ask about pets, illness, or firearms before a home visit?
Yes. To help keep everyone safe, we may ask about recent illness in the home (such as fever or respiratory symptoms), pets (we will ask you to secure them during the visit), and whether firearms/weapons are present (we will ask that they be secured before the visit).

Can my child be seen if I am not present?
Yes, as long as we have informed consent on file and you have authorized another adult or guardian to be in the home and make decisions if needed.

Canceling the Membership

How do I cancel?
Membership cancelation details are outlined in your service agreement. In general, cancelation requires written notice (for example, 30 days). If you are considering cancelation, contact our team and we will help with next steps.

Other Questions

Can you coordinate with our other doctors?
Yes. We can help coordinate referrals, follow-ups and next steps.

What isn’t included in the membership?
Emergency/hospital care is not included. In addition, many labs, imaging, in-office sick visits and medications are billed separately.

Will we get visit summaries or medical records?
Yes. We document your child’s care and can provide visit summaries and share records with other providers.
