MyChart Bedside - Emergency Department

MyChart Bedside - Emergency Department is now available from the MyChart mobile app for patients and their loved ones who are at a Community Health Network emergency room. This feature offers tools to help patients understand their emergency treatment and connect with their care teams from the comfort of their own mobile device. Other activities in MyChart are still available from MyChart Bedside, and users can return to MyChart Bedside from the MyChart home page.

Features

When patients open the MyChart mobile app while they're in the emergency department they will see a "Your Emergency Visit" section with content tailored to their emergency visit. Care items and options may include:

  • Patient’s reason for visiting the ED, like chest pain or a broken bone.
  • Check where patient is in the treatment process (e.g., waiting for lab results or preparing for discharge).
  • Get to know care team members through photos, role descriptions and personal bios.
  • Review lab results and compare them to previous visit results.
  • Medication information.
  • Communication options for non-urgent requests.
  • Proxies may access MyChart Bedside activities to assist with patient needs, even if they are not at the emergency department in person.
