Community Hospital North Welcomes Hundreds to the 11th Annual NICU Reunion

For release on August 26, 2025

Annual tradition continues to connect NICU care teams and families

INDIANAPOLIS (August 23, 2025) Today, Community Hospital North welcomed hundreds of former Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) babies and their loved ones for the 11th Annual NICU Reunion, a tradition that connects caregivers with the families whose lives they touched.

This year’s celebration, themed “Storytime with the NICU,” took place at Conner Prairie in Fishers. The event offered parents a chance to update their care teams on how their little ones are thriving. Doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists were able to see, firsthand, the progress of children who began life under their watchful care.

“Our caregivers look forward to this reunion all year,” said Jamie Phillippe, Chief Nurse Executive at Community Hospital North. “There’s nothing better than seeing a toddler running around who once weighed only a couple of pounds. We’re proud of the high‑quality neonatal care we provide, and this gathering reminds us of the lasting impact we have on these families.”

As a Level III NICU, Community Hospital North provides advanced care for infants born prematurely or with complex medical needs, serving as a lifeline for families during some of their most difficult moments. For more than a decade, the annual reunion has reaffirmed the bond between families and caregivers — one that often endures for years.

Community Hospital North is also the top hospital in Indiana to deliver the most babies for ten years in a row
