Cancer Care Team
Our Community MD Anderson physicians are board-certified medical oncologists/hematologists, radiation oncologists and surgeons. Patients are supported by a team that includes nurse practitioners, oncology nurses, patient navigators, social worker, dietitians, financial counselors, pharmacists, palliative care and more.
At your first appointment, you'll meet an oncology navigator who introduces you to the medical oncologist and radiation oncologist. Navigators guide patients through cancer diagnosis, treatment, recovery and survivorship. They help answer questions and provide continuity during a stressful time.
At Community MD Anderson Cancer Center - Carmel, our board-certified medical oncology doctors can treat all types of adult cancer diagnoses. We treat many types of lung, colorectal, breast, head and neck, prostate and gynecologic (uterine, cervical, ovarian) cancers. From the very first treatment, each patient is a cancer survivor who receives a customized treatment plan.
Oncology treatment services include a dedicated oncology pharmacy for chemotherapy and oral medication therapy, lab, infusion rooms, and healing spaces inside and out. Because our medical oncologists are also board-certified hematologists, the infusion rooms also treat non-cancerous blood disorders.
