Community Hospital North Delivers Most Babies in Indiana for 10 Years in a Row

INDIANAPOLIS (February 19, 2025) — Community Hospital North celebrates delivering the most babies in Indiana for ten years in a row. The State Department of Health verified that Community North, located at 7150 Clearvista Drive, once again added more new Hoosiers to the state than any other hospital in 2023, marking a streak that has lasted a decade.

What does that look like?

From 2014-2023:

  • Total births: 39,414
  • Boys: 51%
  • Girls: 49%
  • Sets of twins: 849
  • Sets of triplets: 17
  • Sets of quads: 1
  • NICU care: 6,500+

The most recent statistics provided by the state are from 2023 and show an even split between boys and girls delivered at Community North (50.1% and 49.9% respectively), including Max Montgomery (pictured below) who was delivered with the help of a midwife, one of the delivery options available through Community’s Women’s Services.

  • Total births: 4,079
  • Sets of twins: 85
  • Set of triplets: 1
  • Highest delivery month: August
  • Highest delivery day: 23 deliveries on August 30

Community North, which marks its 40th year, is a designated Obstetric and Neonatal Level III perinatal hospital, providing exceptional care for moms and babies with complications and complex conditions.
