Bruce King recently retired as CEO of Helmer Scientific, a global leader in medical equipment designed to safeguard medications, vaccines, patient samples and blood components. As an industrial engineering graduate from Purdue, Bruce focused his early career on engineering design, manufacturing operations and later finance, earning both an MBA and a masters in finance from the IU Kelley School of Business.
With a passion for volunteerism and community service, Bruce served as chair of the Community Health Network board of directors for a term of three years, which concluded in March 2022, and is the immediate past chair of the Network Quality of Care Committee. In addition, he has served on multiple boards and committees within the central Indiana community including Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, Joy’s House, Horizons, Community Visionary Enterprises, Inc. and the Indianapolis Sailing Club.
