Katherine Blaire Egan, MD

Katherine Blaire Egan, MD, hand surgeonBlaire Egan, MD, completed her medical degree at Texas A&M College of Medicine. She completed her residency in integrated plastic surgery at Indiana University, and a fellowship in hand and peripheral nerve surgery, also at Indiana University.

Dr. Egan specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery. She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running and country music.

Howard Dash, MD

Howard Dash, MD, hand surgeonHoward Dash, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon. He received his medical degree from Temple University and completed fellowships in hand surgery, plastic surgery and microsurgery at Cleveland Clinic. He has been in private practice since 1996, mostly in Indianapolis.

He has a special interest in plastic surgery, hand surgery, trauma surgery and general reconstruction.

Dr. Dash had made numerous medical mission trips to South and Central America to help surgically repair congenital defects such as cleft lips in people in need.

Adam Cohen, MD

Adam Cohen, MDAdam Cohen, MD, received a bachelor of arts degree in biochemistry from University of Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. He completed a residency in general surgery at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Indiana University Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery, Inc.

He has been in practice for 16 years, including 14 years spent educating future plastic surgeons. He most recently served as chief of plastic surgery at the Richard L. Roudebush VA medical center and as associate director of the Richard M. Fairbanks burn center.

He has a special interest in striving to restore function through reconstruction and to improve quality of life through aesthetic and corrective surgery.

Jason Richard Cacioppo, MD

Jason Cacioppo, MDJason Cacioppo, MD, came to Community after 10 years of experience in plastic surgery at the IU Medical Center. He completed his plastic surgery training there in 2005 and also completed additional fellowship training in hand surgery in Louisville as well as special training in microsurgery in Belgium. Dr. Cacioppo attended medical school in Houston and upon completion, returned to his native Chicago for his residency in general surgery at Rush and Cook County Hospital. For his plastic surgery training, he moved to Indiana in 2003 where he has resided since.

Dr. Cacioppo specializes in plastic surgery of the breast and breast reconstruction. He has a unique expertise in the DIEP flap breast reconstruction and has trained many surgeons in this technique. Dr. Cacioppo also specializes in all aspects of hand surgery (fractures, carpal tunnel, tendon injuries, arthritis, etc.).
