Dr. Zarse is originally from Bloomington, Indiana. She is board certified in addiction medicine, addiction psychiatry and psychiatry. She is the director for the Addiction Medicine Fellowship. After her fellowship, Dr. Zarse was the area chief of addiction services for a community mental health center in Indianapolis before coming to Community Health Network in 2019.

She has experience educating medical students, residents, and addiction fellows. She is a buprenorphine waiver trainer through both the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Zarse helped establish an emergency medicine based peer recovery program for opioid overdose survivors at Eskenazi Health. She also worked to expand access to buprenorphine within primary care services. She enjoys teaching, expanding access to care for the underserved, and coming up with innovative ways to meet the needs of the community.

When not working, Dr. Zarse enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young daughters.

Kaylee was born and raised in Carmel, Indiana and attended Indiana University where she graduated with a bachelor of science degree in public health and a minor in human development and family studies. She began working with Community Health Network in 2014.

When not working, Kaylee enjoys spending time with friends, family and her dogs, outside activities, working out, and beach vacations.

 

Cynthia Meneghini, MDCynthia Meneghini, MD

Dr. Meneghini is originally from New Jersey. She graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine, then attended residency at MacNeal Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Berwyn, Illinois. She also completed a year-long fellowship in women’s health at the same institution. Dr. Meneghini worked in Chicago caring for the underserved, serving as a physician at a local high school health center, and teaching resident physicians and medical students. She then moved to Indianapolis to join the faculty of a large urban residency program. Besides teaching, Dr. Meneghini  spent several years at an FQHC site in Connecticut. There, she saw patients and helped oversee a nurse practitioner residency program.

As the director of the Community East Family Medicine residency, Dr. Meneghini has a passion for educating our next generation of physicians. She loves patients of all ages, but has a special fondness for women and children. She has special training in the area of contraception, procedures, gynecology, newborn/childhood health and chronic illness.

In her free time, her family is her other passion. She has three amazing kids and a wonderful husband, also a family physician. She loves music, being active and enjoying the outdoors.

Dr. Amy LaHood graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed a family medicine residency followed by a fellowship in maternal child health. Dr. LaHood started her practice working at an Indianapolis Community Health Center from 2000-2005 and then spent 17 years as family medicine faculty. Dr. LaHood has a passion for population and public health.

As faculty, Dr. LaHood developed one of the first Indiana programs promoting opioid prescribing safeguards for chronic pain and subsequently dedicated a great deal of time advocating for safer opioid prescribing throughout Indiana and at a national level. From 2018-2021, Dr. LaHood directed a program to treat patients with opioid use disorder and became board certified in addiction medicine in 2021. Dr. LaHood continues working throughout Indiana to educate physicians about the benefits and risks of opioids as well as the most effective ways to reduce harm and save lives for persons with substance use disorders.

In January 2023, Dr. LaHood joined Community Health Network as a part time addiction medicine faculty and looks forward to continuing clinical practice for patients with substance use disorders while providing state-of-the-art, evidence-based training to learners.

Dr. Gretchen Cheuk-Wing Johnson is originally from Baldwin, New York. She practices addiction medicine at Community Fairbanks Recovery Center in Indianapolis, IN. She is passionate about providing compassionate care for patients and their support systems, and about training the next generation of physicians.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three sons.

 

Tim Kelly, MDTimothy Kelly, MD

Dr. Timothy Kelly is the medical director of addiction treatment services for Community Health Network. He has been a consulting physician for more than 20 years, devoting his career to the field of addiction medicine.

A graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Kelly is board certified in internal medicine and addiction medicine. Dr. Kelly was the director of medical services at Fairbanks for more than 30 years. Dr. Kelly continues to participate in the teaching of medical students and residents, which he has done for more than 30 years. He practices at Community Hospital North as well as Clearvista Recovery Associates in Indianapolis. He is supportive and involved in the recovery community and recently became a board member of the Progress House, a local recovery house for men.

 

Theresa Suozzi, MDTheresa Suozzi, MD

Dr. Suozzi was born and raised in Indianapolis. She completed her medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine and her residency at St. Anthony Family Medicine Residency in Denver, CO. She came to Community from Connecticut, where she practiced family medicine at Community Health Centers, Inc., and Hartford Medical Group.

 

Charles Platz, MDCharles Platz, MD

Dr. Chuck Platz serves as the medical director for controlled substance resources for Community Health Network in Central Indiana. This position facilitates the education of providers and staff, as well as helping to develop resources for the safe and effective treatment of patients using controlled substances. He is also a family physician in active practice, providing general family medicine care and buprenorphine treatment to his patients on the Northeast side of Indianapolis. 

Dr. Platz also serves on the Community Health Network board, and is the chair of the Community Physician Network board. He is a former chief of staff, and continues to serve as chair of family medicine for Community Hospitals East and North. He previously served as primary care medical director for the East Region of Community Physician Network.

Dr. Platz has a special interest in primary care chronic pain management as well as primary care management of opioid addiction with the use of buprenorphine.

 

Melissa Davis, MSW, LCSWMelissa Davis, MSW, LCSW

Melissa Davis is a licensed clinical social worker in practice with substance use treatment for eight years. She is currently the program manager of Warren Township Outpatient Behavioral Health Services. She leads both the youth and adult teams at this location. As a direct care therapist, she provided intensive outpatient group, outpatient group, individual, and family therapy services for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. She has a special practice and academic interest in medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders, access to treatment for individuals with substance use disorders, and the influence of trauma on substance use.

 

Taylor Harlow, PharmDTaylor Harlow, PharmD

Residency: Community Health Network, Pharmacy, Indianapolis, IN
Graduate: Butler University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Doctor of Pharmacy, Indianapolis, IN

Dr. Taylor Harlow is a psychiatric clinical pharmacy specialist at Community Health Network. She earned her doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Butler University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Harlow completed both her PGY1 residency in pharmacy practice and her PGY2 residency in psychiatric pharmacy with Community Health Network and she holds board certification in psychiatric pharmacy (BCPP). She provides clinical pharmacy services to adult patients at the Behavioral Health Pavilion, including the two inpatient detoxification units. Dr. Harlow also serves as a preceptor for Butler University pharmacy students. Her practice and academic interests include: dual diagnosis, medication-assisted treatment, adverse event monitoring of psychopharmacologic agents, and interdisciplinary education.
