Indianapolis, IN—Community Health Network is proud to announce the Advanced Wound Care Center at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis and the Center for Advanced Wound Healing in Anderson have both been awarded the title Center of Distinction by Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.
To receive the award, a wound center must achieve outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92%, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 92% within 28 median days to heal. “Despite the unique challenges faced last year, our centers maintained the highest standards of quality, safety and experience,” said Beth Tharp, senior vice president and president, Hospital Services for Community Health Network. Advanced Wound Care Center at Community Hospital East was awarded Center of the Year from Healogics in 2017 and 2018, and was honored with President’s Circle awards in 2017, 2018 and 2020 in addition to being a Center of Distinction in 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021. Center for Advanced Wound Healing at Community Hospital Anderson has been honored as Center of Distinction for four consecutive years, from 2018-2021.
“I am so proud of our team for being recognized as one of the top wound centers in the country,” said Jennifer Goulet, director of the Advanced Wound Care Center at Community Hospital East. “The work this amazing team performs daily to care for and heal our patients is truly unparalleled. “Accomplishing Center of Distinction for the fourth consecutive year truly has been a team effort,” said Tracie Meeker, director of the Center for Advanced Wound Healing at Community Hospital Anderson. “The support of multiple departments, the trust of our physicians, and the expertise of our dedicated nursing staff have been instrumental to our success. Our patients become part of our family and seeing their quality of life improve each week as they heal is remarkable.”
