Community Spine Center provides convenient onsite services with physical and rehabilitation physician specialists and a team of clinicians specially-focused on back, neck and spine care. With two locations in Central Indiana, the team at the spine center will provide support in finding the right treatment option for your condition.

In addition to our expert clinical team specially trained in spine care, the centers provide on-site spine rehabilitation and physical therapy with the convenience of onsite imaging services and access to specialty consultation referrals.
Although our physicians are medical doctors, and are specialized in neck and back problems, they are not surgeons. Our approach is to try to avoid surgery whenever possible. In cases when surgery is needed, we can quickly get the patient an appointment with one of our collaborating surgical colleagues.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time for your first visit. There will be a few additional fill-in-the-blank forms to complete when you arrive.
What to bring:
Our physicians are physiatrists, a type of doctor specially trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation to treat back, neck and spine pain. They are experts at diagnosing and treating pain and restoring function.
The care team also includes nurse practitioners and physician assistants who partner with our physicians to review the patient history and conduct physical exams, order diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication and make referrals as needed.
All our physical therapists are certified in the McKenzie Method and promote the highest standards of using the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy MDT protocols.
Jason Elenburg, PT, Dip. MDT
Jason has over 30 years of experience as a physical therapist, beginning his career in both hospital and outpatient settings. Following his graduation from Indiana University’s physical therapy program, he has benefitted professionally from his education with the McKenzie Institute International. He earned a diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) in 2011. Joining the Community Spine Center in 2008 has allowed Jason to use his knowledge of MDT on a daily basis to serve those with pain and activity limitations. His clinical interests include the McKenzie Method, pain neuroscience education, and how to assist individuals in staying mobile and independent as they age well.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys life with his partner Ryan. They first fell in love with a blind cat, Pixie, which has led to welcoming two more blind cats — Murphy and Julep. As a volleyball fan, Jason has enjoyed cheering on our local professional team, the Indy Ignite.
Genevieve Davis, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT
Genevieve brings well over a decade of clinical expertise to her role as a physical therapist. She holds a doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Indianapolis. Since 2013, the Community Spine Center has benefited from Genevieve’s commitment to evidence-based care and the genuine connection that she establishes with the patients that she serves. Genevieve’s clinical strengths include her knowledge of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) in spinal care and pain neuroscience education.
Genevieve serves as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer for local physical therapy programs, inspiring the next generation of physical therapists. She serves as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students interested in MDT / the McKenzie Method and pain neuroscience education.
Outside of the clinic, Genevieve enjoys time with family and friends. She likes to stay active with kayaking, hiking and Zumba.
Kristy Speelman, PT, Cert. MDT
Kristy brings over 25 years of experience to her role of physical therapist at the Community Spine Center. Kristy is a graduate of Indiana University’s physical therapy program. She has been with Community Health Network for 10 years, the last five of which have been with the Community Spine Center. “I enjoy establishing an active partnership between patients and myself. It is satisfying when I can assist patients in self-managing their condition for long-term success.”
Kristy enjoys time with her family — husband Mark and daughter Addison. She is dog mom to a beloved English cream golden retriever, Lou. Kristy also enjoys participating in her neighborhood book club. Despite holding an IU degree, she is a Purdue fan at heart and enjoys attending Purdue basketball games with her husband.
