The Community Howard Imaging Center is conveniently located on the south side of Community Howard Regional Health at 3500 S. Lafountain Street in Kokomo.
The state-of-the-art imaging center features magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with the widest MRI opening in Kokomo, positron emission tomography (PET) and computerized axial tomography (CT) capabilities.

Low-dose CT lung screenings now available. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. A low-dose CT lung screening shows the lung tissue in high diagnostic detail to help you understand your risk for lung cancer. USPSTF guidelines and Medicare eligibility criteria recommend annual lung screenings for individuals ages 50 to 77 with a tobacco smoking history of at least 20 pack years.
The Imaging Center includes an MRI machine that features a wider, 70-centimeter opening—the widest MRI opening in Kokomo—for better patient comfort during the exam and also touts a “silent scan package,” providing for a much quieter experience than the hospital’s prior model. The MRI machine allows patients to be scanned head first or feet first, and is located in a “caring suite.” Inside the suite, patients have access to an iPad and a view of a ceiling-mounted monitor to watch videos, calming video themes or listen to music.
