Community Bariatrics and Medical Weight Loss-North is an American College of Surgeons (ACS) Surgical Quality Partner and Accredited Metabolic and Bariatric Center. This prestigious designation recognizes surgical programs throughout the country that adhere to the most rigorous standards in surgical quality and commitment to maintaining, evaluating, and improving surgical quality standards for patients.

Community Hospital North bariatric services offers a variety of support groups for pre-op and post-op weight loss surgery patients. The groups are led by members of the bariatric services team to provide additional support for patients undergoing lifestyle changes before and after bariatric surgery.

It's easy to refer a patient for consultation with bariatric services. Choose from the options below:

When you refer a patient to us, we will:

• Have our patient representative call the patient to get his or her insurance information.
• Have our insurance specialist verify a patient's insurance qualifications to determine if bariatric surgery is covered under the patient's plan.
• Schedule a patient consultation with our surgeon and psychologist.
• Have the surgeon send a consultation letter to keep you informed.
• Submit insurance information and follow up to gain approval.
• Provide sample physician referral letters for pre-certification approval.
