Classes, Events and Screenings

Moms and babies who are currently breastfeeding are welcome at our FREE support groups. During support group, moms are encouraged to feed their babies and talk with other mothers. A lactation consultant will be available to talk about basic concerns and answer questions about breastfeeding. You may also weigh your baby before and after feedings while at group. Pre-registration is required to attend group at Community Hospital North and Community Hospital South.

This one-session virtual class discusses how to prepare your body for labor, comfort measures, birth hormones, and tips for how to have a non-medicated birth. For first time parents, it is preferred, but not required, to complete the Birth and Baby series first. Dads and partners are encouraged to attend and do not need to register for the class. This is a 5-hour, one-day class divided into two sessions. The morning session covers labor and birth, comfort measures, and medical labor options. The afternoon session covers remaining medical options in labor, cesarean birth, hospital care and baby care. This is a slightly shortened version of the weeknight classes. This class will be held in person and you will receive a book during class. Dads and partners are encouraged to attend and do not need to register for the class.
