Vice President, Chief Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer

Kenneth (Ken) Bond is vice president, chief diversity equity and inclusion officer (CDEIO) for Community Health Network. Ken is accountable for all aspects of Community's diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, programs, processes and policies that impact patients, caregivers and the communities we serve.

Ken has been with Community for 10 years, previously serving as the executive director, integration services, where he oversaw and facilitated the network’s independent professional services agreements (PSAs). Before landing at Community, Ken served in various capacities at Wishard Health Services (now Eskenazi) and Franciscan Health, both in Indianapolis, as well as at Baptist Health (Louisville, KY). In addition, Ken is a retired United States Air Force military officer, retiring after 22 years of honorable service, during which time he functioned as a highly decorated Medical Service Corps officer, highlighted by his service at the Pentagon just after 9/11/2001, and as the executive officer to the United States Air Force Surgeon General.

As a lifelong learner and servant leader, Ken has completed all of his coursework for a doctorate in transformational leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU). He has also earned two master’s degrees: a master of divinity from IWU and an MBA from Golden Gate University, CA.

He and his wife, Denise, have three children and two grandchildren.
