June 2026 - More than 80% of the project is complete with construction expected to wrap up in late 2026. Drivers will see continued improvements in 2026 as new lanes and ramps open and work continues on the reconfigured I-69/I-465 interchange.

Patients, visitors and caregivers visiting the Community Hospital North campus* should plan ahead for traffic delays in this area. Allow extra time to get to appointments to avoid having to reschedule. Please call your provider's office if you have questions or concerns.

June 9, 2026 - Now Open

New I-465 eastbound lanes - three lanes in each direction from the White River to Fall Creek Road.
Ramp from Allisonville Road to I-465 east.
Eastbound/southbound I-465 bridges in main interchange at I-69 & I-465.

56th St. ramp to northbound I-465 expected to reopen by summer 2026.

Note: East 71st Street and the 71^st Street trail are scheduled to close on or after Monday, June 1. The closure is expected to be in place for about two months. The detour is 75th Street.

*The Community Hospital North "campus" includes the following sites of care: Community Fairbanks Recovery Center, Community Heart and Vascular Hospital, Community Hospital North, Community Imaging Center North, Community MD Anderson Cancer Center - North, Community Rehabilitation Hospital, Community Surgery Center, Emergency Room/ER, Community-GoHealth Urgent Care Castleton, 7250 Professional Building, and other affiliated provider offices and services on campus and accessible from adjacent roadways, including Shadeland Avenue.
