These informal gatherings are designed to promote collegiality, share ideas to improve work life balance, and discuss future strategies to reduce physician burnout.

During the pandemic, we held a number of virtual "Making Connections" events to continue to foster connections amongst our colleagues.
The APP educational retreat serves as a way to connect with fellow APPs and focus on the various dimensions of well-being.
In fall 2019, we held the inaugural CPN provider retreat in French Lick, Indiana. Each year, they are a fun and educational weekend!
For the past few years, all providers and their families have been invited to Victory Field for a baseball game with dinner and colleague camaraderie.

The new physicians’ lounge at Community Hospital North opened in spring 2019. Located on the first floor near the Radiology Department, the new lounge is four times larger than the old lounge, with windows for natural lighting. Redesigned with feedback from the physicians, the lounge has a dictation room with six computer stations, a medical records room, lockers, and a quiet room with dividers and recliners where doctors can rest. There is also a kitchenette with a free style Coke machine and airport style filling station where doctors can fill their water bottles.
The Center for Physician Well-Being and Professional Development team helped organize a grand opening and open house, which several doctors and caregivers attended. Check out the new lounge!
Thanks to the 20+ volunteers who helped make the 2018 fall family hayride event possible at Stony Creek Farm! More than 300 guests joined the festivities on a beautiful October evening. In addition to pumpkin painting, hayrides, and pictures with Roscoe the Kangaroo, we collected 54 toys/games and 86 winter clothing items for Community Health Network Foundation.
In spring 2018, physicians were invited to attend a mindfulness training event titled "A Mindful Way to Live", followed by fun and socializing at Top Golf in Fishers.
