Courtney Roberts currently serves as president of Ivy Tech Foundation, where she led Ivy Tech’s first-ever statewide comprehensive campaign, raising a record-breaking $340M, to support all of Ivy Tech’s 19 campuses and impacting all 92 counties across Indiana. By addressing the barriers students and communities face every day, Ivy Tech Foundation is making Indiana a more equitable place for all who call it home. 

An expert on philanthropy and social impact, Courtney has held leadership roles in prominent philanthropic organizations, where she has excelled in both strategic grant-making and impactful fundraising. Leveraging her unique background in law, public policy, government affairs and philanthropy, she is at the forefront of building of public, private and community partnerships to tackle society’s most pressing challenges and galvanize long-term sustainable change. 

Prior to joining Ivy Tech Foundation, Courtney had a 15-year career at Eli Lilly and Company, where she held roles in government affairs, public policy and the Lilly Foundation. Most recently, she served as executive director of social impact at Eli Lilly and Company, leading the company’s philanthropic commitment to global health equity. She led public-private partnerships around the world – including Mexico, Kenya, South Africa, India, and Indianapolis - to find innovative, scalable and sustainable solutions to drive impact at the community level. 

Prior to joining Lilly, she was a lobbyist with Bose Public Affairs Group, where she advocated at all levels of government. She has also served in the administrations of U.S. Senator Evan Bayh and Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson. 

Courtney has served on numerous boards in the community over the last two decades. She currently serves on the Executive Committees for both the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, as well as the Indiana Conference for Women. She was named a 2018 Woman of Influence by the Indianapolis Business Journal and is a graduate of the inaugural class of Hoosier Women Forward. She joined the board of Community Health Network in March 2025.

Courtney is currently a doctoral candidate at the Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. She earned a JD from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law and a BA from Butler University. She also holds a credential in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Fundraising from Florida International University Foundation and Office of Inclusive Philanthropy.
